In chapter ten many exciting things happen for starters Hequet finds a perfect spot to spy on Weonem. And Ranofer and Hequet find out that they both meet at the stone working shop late at night to "study" scrolls. Also while following Gebu Ranofer Ran into what he thinks was either a cat or a Keft and loses Gebu and can not find him until he comes back. While rearranging scrolls in the Stone shop Ranofer finds a room for a layout that is in a odd spot so he asks Gebu but Gebu is very angry and knocks him to the ground once he comes home Gebu wants to know why Ranofer was so interested but once told Gebu only Beats him more. The most exciting thing that happened in this chapter was Ranofer finding a Golden goblet that belonged to King Tut which means Gebu is a grave robber.

Sometimes Egyptians would spy on others to see if they are doing anything wrong. There were often sent on missions by the pharaoh or people that had a high social status. I found this on Wiki.

Devin Jackson-chapter 11-12- researcher
In chapters 11 and twelve they talk a lot about festivals. Here are three common festivals the Wepet Renpet festival, the Sed festival, and the Opet festival. No the name of the festival in the book is not named but using context clues and how Ranofer mentions the flooding of the Nile I am 99.99 percent sure this is the Wepet Renpet festival. I think it is the Wepet Renpet festival because this was the Egyptian new year and the day/days the bile flooded. The flood was in July and brought fertility to Egypt and many feasts and public gathering took place during this time. If you want to learn more about Egyptian holidays and celebrations I have put the website below.

Devin-Social class master-Chapter 14-15

For most of chapter 14 Ranofer is in an egyptian tomb which is filled with tons of stuff. But could everyone afford a tomb like this no Ranofer did mention it was the queen's parents tomb that means they had lots of money and furniture which they put into their tombs. They were so rich that they had a whole second room just for gold and jewelry. They also had gold imbedded into their furniture. You would have to be of a very high social class to have this luxury, not even Gebu could afford all that. I would also like to mention ranofer notes there was a worn pair of sandals and a worn staff indicating if you were rich you didn't have to have brand new things to go into your tomb whatever made you comfortable when you were alive was put in the tomb with you.

Devin Jackson-Chapter 16-Choice Summarizer

Chapter was probably one of the most suspenseful chapters of all and had many things happened in it. For starters upon breaking into the palace Ranofer was almost sent to a prison until a midget named Qa-nefer told the guard to release him and brought Ranofer befor Queen of Egypt. And then the queen of Egypt asked Ranofer what was on the north side of the tomb and he told her it was her father oken staff so guards were sent and Gebu and Waonem were caught. Then many hours later after ranofer had eaten poultry and sweet rolls from the palace the queen of egypt Asked Ranofer what he wanted more than anything and he said a donkey so he could cut cypress and go to Zau the goldsmith to be an apprentice and both wishes were granted. And The ancient and Heqet were given rings with big jewels on them and that's how the Golden Goblet ends.
